On November 16, the 2025 China-Egypt Industry Closed-Door Matchmaking Conference, hosted by the China Private Cultural Industry Chamber of Commerce, was successfully held in Beijing. The conference aimed to establish an efficient platform for China-Egypt industrial cooperation, encourage Chinese enterprises to further expand into the Egyptian and North African markets, and help elevate China-Egypt practical cooperation to a new level. As an important participant in China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation, China-Africa Teda Investment Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the conference and shared its successful practices and valuable experiences from the China-Egypt Teda Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (Teda Cooperation Zone) at the event.
During the meeting, a representative from the Egyptian Embassy in China delivered a speech, warmly praising the fruitful cooperation achieved between Egypt and China under the Belt and Road Initiative. The representative also stated that the Egyptian market eagerly welcomes more high-quality Chinese investments and enterprises, working together to promote local industrial development and economic growth.
In her speech, Tian Dan, Director of Investment Promotion for the Northern Region of Sino-African Teda, provided a detailed overview of the construction progress of the Teda Cooperation Zone, the remarkable achievements in industrial clustering, and the locally adapted operational experience of the distinctive “Teda Model.” This offers Chinese enterprises interested in expanding their presence in Egypt a high-quality development platform that is both replicable and reliable.
This conference brought together representatives from official institutions, business associations, financial service providers, logistics companies, and numerous industry-leading enterprises from both China and Egypt. The attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on key topics such as financial support for Chinese companies expanding into Egypt, policy interpretations, legal risks, and customs clearance practices. Representatives from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China provided a professional analysis of cross-border financial solutions, while the Egypt-based team of the Special Committee on Cultural Trade Services offered a detailed interpretation of the latest local investment policies and the business environment.
During the entrepreneur exchange session, representatives from numerous companies in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, modern agriculture, information technology, environmental protection technology, and automotive components shared their overseas expansion strategies and expressed interest in potential collaborations. The on-site exchanges were lively and yielded remarkable results in terms of matchmaking.
The successful holding of this closed-door matchmaking meeting has further strengthened the ties between industrial circles in China and Egypt, injecting new momentum into Chinese enterprises’ investment and business development in Egypt. Cooperation platforms—such as the TEDA Cooperation Zone—will continue to serve as bridges and conduits, actively integrating resources and innovating service models, thereby making new contributions to deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Egypt and jointly promoting high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
