On November 23, Xu Mingliang, Secretary of the Haining Municipal Party Committee of the CPC, and his delegation visited the China-Egypt Teda Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (referred to as the "Teda Cooperation Zone") for an inspection tour. Cao Hui, Executive Director of the Egypt Teda Zone Development Company, and Zhi Qixuan, Manager of the Industrial Real Estate Investment Promotion Department, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The two sides held an in-depth discussion on topics including the dual circulation strategy—both domestic and international—the introduction of industries, and jointly exploring new models for economic and trade cooperation between Chinese and African enterprises.
During the symposium, both sides engaged in pragmatic discussions on topics including the new development paradigm of dual circulation—both domestic and international—the transnational deployment of industrial chains, the introduction of industries and capacity cooperation, and the exploration of new models for China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. Secretary Xu Mingliang stated that Haining boasts a strong foundation in the textile industry and is an important textile manufacturing hub in China. In recent years, Haining-based enterprises have actively expanded their presence overseas, with companies such as Li Jialong, Aoxiu Textile, and Dingchangsheng Textile already establishing operations in the TEDA Cooperation Zone and achieving remarkable growth. He pointed out that he hopes this visit will serve as an opportunity to further expand cooperation space from the perspective of dual circulation—both domestic and international—and jointly help more high-quality Haining enterprises go global, thus achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
During the event, enterprises already established in the park shared their experiences in investment, construction, and operations within the TEDA Cooperation Zone. Representatives from these companies stated that, thanks to the zone’s favorable business environment and professional services, their projects have progressed smoothly, and they are full of confidence in future development.
After the meeting, the Haining Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the TEDA Cooperation Zone formally signed a framework cooperation agreement. The two sides will engage in deeper cooperation around areas such as industrial synergy, coordinated investment promotion, enterprise services, and policy exchanges, strengthening mutual learning and exchange of policy ideas and development pathways, and jointly advancing the global agenda for sustainable development. The signing of this agreement marks the entry of cooperation between Haining City and the TEDA Cooperation Zone into a new phase, injecting fresh momentum into promoting Haining enterprises’ “going global” efforts and fostering economic and trade cooperation between China and Egypt, as well as between China and Africa.
