China-Africa TEDA Visits China Glass Holdings to Explore Cooperation

Recently, Liu Aimin, chairman of China Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Africa TEDA), led a team to visit China Glass Holdings Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Glass Holdings). Peng Shou, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, chief scientist of China Building Materials Group and chairman of the board of directors of China Glass Holdings, Lu Guo, executive director and chief executive officer of China Glass Holdings, Song Guangbi, senior director of China Glass Holdings International Business Department, warmly received and other leaders. Wei Jianqing, deputy general manager of China-Africa TEDA, and Cao Hui, general manager of the Pearl River Delta Office, attended the discussion.
During the discussion, Chairman Liu Aimin gave a detailed introduction on the historical evolution, development status and industrial chain development status of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone for short), and discussed the construction of the Egyptian business environment and related investment policies. The development prospects of the Suez Canal Economic Zone, the strategic planning of the TEDA platform, and the situation of the park projects hosted by the TEDA overseas model. He said that under the care of the Chinese and Egyptian governments and national leaders, the TEDA Cooperation Zone has grown into an important platform and model project for China and Egypt to jointly build the "Belt and Road". He hopes to further develop practical cooperation with China Glass Holdings. Promote the healthy sailing of China's glass industry.
Academician Peng Shou said that Egypt is an important node of the "Belt and Road" with rich resources and obvious advantages. It is an ideal place for the layout of China's glass industry. The TEDA Cooperation Zone has been deeply cultivated in Egypt for many years and has unparalleled platform advantages. The two sides seize opportunities and have bright prospects for deeper cooperation.
President Lu Guo introduced the business scope and long-term development strategy of China Glass Holdings. He said that China Glass Holdings has advanced glass manufacturing technology, advanced management capabilities and levels, and the company's low-carbon, green, energy-saving, and environmental protection development concepts. And the development strategy of laying out the glass industry at multiple nodes along the "Belt and Road" is highly consistent with the high-quality development goals of the TEDA Cooperation Zone. He is optimistic about the Egyptian market and TEDA cooperation zone platform, that cooperation can be expected. It is hoped that the two sides will come and go frequently in the future to enhance contacts, exchanges and cooperation, resource sharing and joint development.
During the meeting, the two sides reached a preliminary cooperation intention and exchanged views on specific cooperation matters.
