China-Africa TEDA Invited to Attend 2023 China International Ecological Competitiveness Summit

On August 25, the "2023 China International Ecological Competitiveness Summit" was held in Chengde, Hebei Province. The summit is the most representative national and international exchange and cooperation platform in China's ecological field. It is also the first national ecological event held after the first national ecological day. The China International Ecological Competitiveness Summit has been successfully held for 11 times. The conference was organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, and the Hebei Provincial Government. The theme of the conference was "Cultivating Green Ecology and Promoting Green Development". Wang Guangqian, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Wang Zhengpu, governor of Hebei Province, Yu Jianlong, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and Tan Guangming, deputy director of the National Forestry and Grass Bureau, delivered speeches. Nearly 70 foreign guests from 17 countries or regions attended the meeting. Representatives of organizations, business associations, Fortune 500 enterprises and large central enterprises attended the meeting. Lai Siqing, vice chairman of China Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Africa TEDA"), was invited to attend the summit and delivered a keynote speech at the double carbon green industry development forum.
The theme of Vice Chairman Lai Siqing's speech was "Using overseas economic and trade cooperation zones as a carrier to promote the development of green cooperation in the" Belt and Road." From the perspective of enterprise investment, Lai Siqing introduced the development history of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, the investment environment of the park, the results of investment promotion, and the future development direction of the park. At the same time, some experiences and practices of TEDA cooperation zone in green development concept, green infrastructure, green investment promotion and green operation were introduced. Finally, Lai Siqing combined with the experience of TEDA cooperation zone, put forward corresponding suggestions to promote the green and sustainable development of overseas economic and trade cooperation zone.
As an important project and demonstration park for China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation, the TEDA Cooperation Zone has become the engine park of the Northwest Economic Zone of the Gulf of Suez through 15 years of development and construction. It is Egypt's best comprehensive environment, the largest investment density, and the highest unit output. The industrial park with the densest concentration of Chinese enterprises. A total of nearly 140 enterprises have been attracted to settle in. Many leading enterprises in various industries in China, such as Jushi, Xidian, Universiade and Midea, as well as international enterprises in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Dubai and Canada, are booming here.
