Since its official inauguration on September 8, 2025, the China Enterprise Overseas Intellectual Property Workstation in Egypt (Tianjin TEDA) (hereinafter referred to as the “Workstation”) has consistently focused on the core concerns of Chinese enterprises operating in Egypt. Through a series of practical measures, the Workstation has established a robust intellectual property defense system to support these enterprises’ overseas development.
We’ve gone deep into the field, precisely aligning our services with actual needs. Our workstation is firmly rooted in the Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone—Sino-Egyptian TEDA—and has conducted on-site visits to numerous enterprises, providing guidance on intellectual property strategy development and the establishment of management systems. At the same time, we’ve actively collaborated with local Egyptian law firms and the zone’s operator to establish a coordinated service mechanism, thereby solidifying the foundation for our precise and targeted services.
Professional support to proactively mitigate potential risks faced by enterprises. The workstation closely aligns with the actual needs of enterprises, offering services such as initiating patent early-warning analyses and providing targeted rights protection support, thereby helping Chinese enterprises planning to enter the Egyptian market as well as those already operating in Egypt effectively identify and address intellectual property risks.
Empowering both theory and practice to systematically enhance response capabilities. The workstation has organized five sessions of overseas intellectual property protection training in China and Egypt, covering topics such as policy interpretation, practical operations, and risk management. In addition, we have compiled the "Egyptian Intellectual Property Law Compilation (Chinese Edition)," providing enterprises with solid theoretical foundations and practical tools.
Looking ahead, the workstation will continue to deepen its collaboration with local Egyptian institutions, remain oriented toward the needs of businesses, and continuously optimize its services, thereby providing stronger intellectual property protection for Chinese enterprises operating in Egypt.
