To care for the physical and mental well-being of overseas Chinese communities in Egypt and to promote the international dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture, the China-Egypt Teda Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (referred to as "Teda Cooperation Zone") recently joined forces with the Chuan-Yu Hometown Association in Egypt to organize a free Traditional Chinese Medicine clinic event. A team of experts from the Second Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sichuan Province traveled all the way to Egypt, providing professional TCM diagnostic and treatment services to local overseas Chinese, thereby conveying the warmth and care from their homeland.

This free medical consultation team is composed of several seasoned experts in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, covering multiple specialized areas such as acupuncture and rehabilitation, as well as geriatric chronic disease management, comprehensively showcasing the unique diagnostic and therapeutic features and systematic advantages of TCM. Among the experts is Zhao Jingjing, Deputy Chief Physician of the Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Department, who excels at integrating traditional acupuncture techniques with modern rehabilitation methods to treat conditions like stroke, facial paralysis, insomnia, and neck-shoulder-waist-leg pain. Also included is Wang Yi, Deputy Chief Physician specializing in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for geriatric diseases, focusing on combined TCM and Western medical approaches to manage and promote health in chronic conditions such as hypertension and coronary heart disease.
The event focuses on precisely addressing the health needs of overseas Chinese communities. In addition to on-site medical consultations and treatments, it innovatively incorporates a domestic online telemedicine model, breaking geographical barriers and seamlessly connecting participants with high-quality medical resources. Expert teams conduct thorough体质辨识 (physical constitution identification) and comprehensive health assessments for participants, then tailor personalized调理方案 (health management plans) to put into practice the health philosophy of "early detection, early intervention, and early care," effectively enhancing the overall health management of overseas Chinese communities.

The event drew active participation from Chinese employees of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, corporate representatives, and numerous local Egyptian residents. Traditional therapies such as TCM pulse diagnosis, acupuncture, cupping, and guasha sparked widespread interest. The unique appeal and proven effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine were highly praised, creating a vibrant atmosphere that served as a dynamic platform for fostering mutual understanding between the two nations.
This event was not only a health service but also a cultural exchange and an opportunity for emotional connection. Overseas Chinese living in Egypt expressed that the free medical consultations deeply reminded them of their homeland’s care, strengthening the cohesion and cultural identity within the overseas community. As a treasured gem of Chinese culture, Traditional Chinese Medicine is increasingly becoming a vital link bridging China-Egypt friendship and fostering people-to-people exchanges.
Relevant officials from the TEDA Cooperation Zone stated that they will continue to leverage the platform's advantages, prioritize the well-being of overseas Chinese communities, actively promote the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine, and deepen pragmatic cooperation between China and Egypt in the health industry and cultural fields.
