At the beginning of the New Year 2025, the TEDA Cooperation Zone held the first TEDA Cooperation Zone enterprise symposium of 2025 in the TEDA Conference Hall on the first floor of the Investment Service Center. The symposium was hosted by Xu Qifeng, Executive Director of the Egyptian TEDA Investment Company, and attended by representatives from dozens of outstanding new and old enterprises entering the zone, including Li Daixin, Chairman of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., Cao Hui, Executive Director of the Egyptian TEDA Special Zone Development Company, and companies such as Jushi, Xidian, Fengshang, Xinxing Casting Pipe, China Glass, Leichu Textile, Huawei Egypt, China Telecom, Huading Energy, and Kershi International. The symposium focused on promoting the digital transformation of park enterprises, standardizing energy management, and integrating human resources services with culture, discussing new opportunities and challenges for the development of the park in 2025.

At the beginning of the meeting, Xu Qifeng, the Executive Director of TEDA Egypt, as the host, first summarized the development of the TEDA Cooperation Zone in 2024. He stated: "Going alone is not as fast as going together; it is the collective effort of many enterprises that has led to the rapid development of the TEDA Cooperation Zone—this eastern pearl on the Red Coast. In 2024, the TEDA Cooperation Zone achieved a historic high in attracting investment, with 19 outstanding enterprises from various industries, including Xinxing Casting Pipe, China Glass, Hisense, Wuxi Boda, Kaimidi, and TEDA, entering the park. The attention from government and business in the cooperation zone has surged, with Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouli visiting the park four times, and over 400 government and business delegations from the Egyptian Ministry of Labor, Bank of China, Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Tianjin Vice Mayor, Shandong Province, Tongxiang City, and Taizhou City visiting the cooperation zone. The influence of the cooperation zone in Egypt continues to strengthen, with the political office of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt accompanying a delegation of Egyptian political parties for a comprehensive visit to the cooperation zone. Egyptian President Sisi has assigned the Ministry of Interior to organize over 300 Egyptian youth to visit and learn in the park, and the cultural office of the Chinese Embassy has brought the Chinese Bridge and students from more than ten Egyptian universities for cultural exchanges in the park. The supporting capabilities of the cooperation zone have further strengthened, with companies such as Huawei, Huading Energy, Kershi Human Resources, Southeast Logistics, and Randy Law Firm entering the park, and the cooperation zone has also welcomed the first cup of milk tea of autumn.

Subsequently, Dr. Chu Yonggang, a digitalization expert from Huawei Egypt Technology Co., Ltd., spoke about the design concept of the first overseas park digital empowerment center co-built by TEDA and Huawei—"One Cloud, One Network, One Platform"—and detailed Huawei's "CloudPond" solution. This solution provides efficient and secure digital support for park enterprises by integrating edge computing and cloud services, helping enterprises achieve transformation from informatization to digitalization. Dr. Chu pointed out that digital transformation is not only about the application of technology but also a business revolution. By introducing the "Digital Empowerment Center for Manufacturing Going Global," Huawei will work with TEDA to promote the comprehensive digital upgrade of park enterprises in production, management, ecology, and other aspects.

Next, Zhang Hui, General Manager of Huading Electric Egypt Co., Ltd., took the stage to share the standardized solutions for park electricity and the latest progress in the configuration and installation standards of medium-voltage room equipment. He emphasized that by formulating and implementing unified power system standards, the safety and stability of electricity use in the park have been significantly improved. This initiative not only reduces operational risks for enterprises but also lays the foundation for the upgrade of smart electricity services. As an overseas power energy developer and operator with rich practical experience, Huading Energy has reached deep cooperation with TEDA, entering the park at the beginning of the new year as the park's power operator, providing professional power energy service support for the park and its enterprises.

Ms. Sun Wei, General Manager of Kershi Human Resources Company, proposed a new concept for overseas human resource management from the perspective of "human resources + cultural integration." She stated that enterprises should establish a dynamic talent database based on data and build a talent management system that adapts to the local overseas market. In addition, she shared how to enhance the talent competitiveness of park enterprises through the integration of recruitment and customized training, and emphasized the importance of cross-cultural communication in improving management efficiency.

During the free discussion session, representatives of participating enterprises actively asked questions and made constructive suggestions on digital transformation, energy management, and human resource services. Park leaders and enterprise representatives discussed cooperation opportunities in depth, providing clear directions for subsequent actions.

At the end of the meeting, Li Daixin, Chairman of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., summarized the meeting. He pointed out that the development of the park cannot be separated from the joint efforts of enterprises. This symposium not only reviewed the achievements of 2024 but also clarified the development focus for 2025. He encouraged enterprises to cooperate with each other to promote various topics and emphasized that in the process of digital transformation and standardization construction, enterprises should take the initiative and be creative.

Chairman Li Daixin pointed out: "We must stand firm in the wave of the digital age, work together to face market challenges, further enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of the park, and promote the in-depth development of Sino-Egyptian economic and trade cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results." He mentioned that with the changes in the global economic landscape, the park must keep pace with the times, actively explore new business models and cooperation opportunities. He called on entrepreneurs to use digital tools to improve production efficiency and reduce operating costs to gain a more competitive market position. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of talent, proposing that the park needs to increase support for talent introduction and training to meet the changing demands of the market. Li Daixin hopes that each enterprise can continue to innovate in their respective fields, injecting new energy into the development of the park.

The successful holding of this symposium marks a solid step forward for the TEDA Cooperation Zone in promoting the transformation and upgrading of park enterprises. Looking ahead, the park will continue to use innovation and service as engines, working with enterprises to meet more challenges and opportunities, and build a more solid platform for Sino-Egyptian economic and trade cooperation. The core of park development lies in the combination of technology and culture, and in the future, it will strive to create an open and inclusive ecological environment, promote communication and cooperation among enterprises, and achieve sustainable development through resource integration and sharing. Li Daixin stated that the TEDA Cooperation Zone will work hard to build a more efficient investment environment, attract more domestic and foreign enterprises to settle in, and add momentum to the development of the park, working together to create a better future.
