Egyptian Prime Minister Visits Midea's Egyptian Dishwasher Factory to Praise Midea's Wisdom

On March 16, local time, Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli (Mustafa Madbouly) and his entourage inspected the Midea Egyptian dishwasher factory located in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone.
Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory is the first dishwasher factory in North Africa and the Middle East to use modern advanced production technology. The factory covers an area of 60000 square meters, with a total investment of more than 25 million US dollars. The factory has a planned maximum annual production capacity of 1.5 million units. In addition to supplying the local market in Egypt, 80% of the production capacity will be exported to Africa, the Middle East, Europe and other regions.
Madbouli listened to the introduction of Chen Weiwei, head of Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory, on the operation of the factory. It is reported that Midea currently has five lighthouse factories in the world, while Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory is built according to the standards of Midea's lighthouse factory, realizing the automation of the production process and the transparent visualization of the whole value chain operation.
In the future, Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory will continue to increase investment, further promote the localization of R & D, manufacturing and talents, and focus on the local user market to provide Egyptian and global users with a richer choice of household products. It is reported that in addition to the Sulz Canal Economic Development Zone, Midea has another supporting factory in October 6th, Egypt. The localization rate of water heaters produced by this factory is as high as 60%.
Chen Weiwei said that Midea Group is a globally operating company. At present, its business covers more than 200 countries and regions around the world, with about 30000 overseas employees, ranking 245th in the Fortune 500 list in 2022. At present, the United States has shipped 6 million dishwashers worldwide each year, of which exports from Europe and the United States account for about 70%.
Madbouli fully affirmed Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory to promote the localization of modern industry and help the local economy and employment, and sent a message that Midea's Egyptian intelligent factory is developing better and better.
