China-Africa TEDA Attends Launch Meeting of "Pilot Overseas Park Low Carbon Planning and Action Plan" Project

On June 7, the kick-off meeting of the "Pilot Overseas Park Low-Carbon Planning and Action Plan" project supported by the World Resources Institute and undertaken by the Energy Efficiency and Investment Evaluation Committee of the China Energy Research Association was held in Beijing. China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China-Africa TEDA") attended the meeting.
This meeting coincides with the tenth anniversary of the "Belt and Road" initiative. In order to implement the green action of overseas parks and accelerate the green and sustainable development of overseas parks, it was jointly organized by the Energy Efficiency and Investment Evaluation Committee of the China Energy Research Association and the World Resources Institute. Discuss the preparation of low-carbon planning for overseas parks, strive to create low-carbon development samples for overseas parks, and promote the high-quality development of overseas parks. China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, as a demonstration project of China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone along China's "Belt and Road", actively responds to the call for green, low-carbon and sustainable development. After early exchanges and discussions with various ministries and commissions, it serves as a low-carbon demonstration zone in China's overseas parks The pilot project attended this meeting and made a report on the sustainable development of the park.
At the meeting, Xu Qifeng, Director of R & D and Promotion of China-Africa TEDA, reported on the development of TEDA Cooperation Zone, TEDA's overseas model, the current situation of green and sustainable development in the park, the digital construction of TEDA Cooperation Zone and the strategic upgrading plan of the park, and put forward corresponding suggestions on the implementation of green and low-carbon sustainable development from the perspective of overseas park development operators.
Subsequently, the members of the research team introduced the overall idea and design of the "Pilot Overseas Park Low-Carbon Planning and Action Plan" project based on the actual situation of the TEDA Cooperation Zone. Leaders and experts from the National Energy Infrastructure and Management Standardization Technical Committee, the Institute of International Trade and Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce, the Foreign Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products have put forward valuable suggestions on the implementation of the project and the next plan.
Experts at the meeting pointed out that overseas parks are external windows and important business cards for the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the current "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative, promoting the low-carbon development of overseas parks from theoretical research to landing practice is of great significance to promoting the high-quality development of parks, jointly building a green "Belt and Road Initiative" and enhancing China's international image. In the process of implementation, the project must improve its position, closely combine the actual situation of the park and the host country, and lead overseas parks to carry out low-carbon actions in an orderly manner through systematic and forward-looking low-carbon planning, so as to create a green and low-carbon benchmark and model. The TEDA Cooperation Zone has mature development and outstanding industrial agglomeration effects. It has played a positive role in promoting the industrialization development of the host country. As the flagship project of the "Belt and Road" overseas park, it responds to the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" and promotes green, low-carbon and sustainable development.
