Ladies and gentlemen, in 2016, Egypt put forward the vision of 2030, which is the blueprint for our future development. Egypt's blueprint coincides with the "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative. China and Egypt have established a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Our long-term cooperation involves politics, economy and trade, culture, military, law enforcement and other fields. We have achieved important results at the international and regional levels, and these results are still being consolidated and strengthened. At the same time, the cooperation between China and Egypt has great potential. The mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries has a very strong momentum of development.

His Excellency President Sisi of Egypt has visited China almost every year since 2014. President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Egypt in 2016 to consolidate the strategic partnership between the two countries. The last meeting between the two heads of state was on December 8, 2022. In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, they proposed to deepen cooperation with China and Egypt to jointly build the "Belt and Road" to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of the central area project of Egypt's new administrative capital, as well as the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone and other major projects. At the summit meeting, it was also mentioned that China would import more high-quality products from Egypt, expand cooperation in investment and financing, joint production of vaccines, aerospace and other fields.

Ladies and gentlemen, Zhejiang is China's manufacturing and trade center. GDP is more than $1 trillion. The trade volume reached $700 billion billion. Egypt is one of Zhejiang's largest trade and investment partners in Africa. In 2022, the trade volume between Zhejiang and Egypt is about 5 billion US dollars. Thirty-four Zhejiang enterprises have invested more than US $1 billion in Egypt. There are also many new enterprises, and they are also actively exploring business opportunities in Egypt. Zhejiang alone accounts for more than 25 percent of the trade between China and Egypt. Therefore, Egypt is an ideal gateway for Zhejiang enterprises to Africa, Europe and the Middle East. Recently, two high-level delegations organized by Zhejiang visited Egypt, in February and May this year. The interval between the two activities was less than four months. This was to support Zhejiang enterprises and find more business opportunities for Zhejiang enterprises. We are gathered here today to further implement the "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative, strengthen cooperation and exchanges between China and Egypt in the fields of science and technology, economy and culture, and further enhance the friendly relations between the two countries. attract more Chinese enterprises to participate in the construction and international cooperation of "Belt and Road Initiative", promote the industrial development of both sides, and promote the landing of China's solutions, especially Zhejiang's economic solutions. Ladies and gentlemen, the TEDA Cooperation Zone, located in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, is a successful example of China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation. By the end of 2022, the TEDA Cooperation Zone has attracted nearly 140 enterprises, with actual investment exceeding US $1.6 billion and cumulative sales exceeding US $3.5 billion. I would like to congratulate TEDA, Egypt's TEDA has won the honor of "Egypt's best industrial developer" in 2023, which is the second time since last year. This award is a recognition of TEDA's outstanding performance and influence. TEDA is an excellent platform for enterprises to land. TEDA can help Zhejiang enterprises seize and share unparalleled business opportunities in the ecosystem of the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
