On June 30, the 3rd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo African Industrial Park Promotion Matchmaking Conference was held in Changsha. Li Fei, Vice Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, Wamkele Kebesway Menee, Secretary-General of the Secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Zone, and Hu Xusheng, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress attended and delivered speeches. Wei Jianqing, deputy general manager of China-Africa TEDA, introduced at the meeting that the TEDA Cooperation Zone is the only two national-level overseas economic and trade cooperation zones that have been unveiled by national leaders. It has now become an important part of China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation with good political, economic and social benefits. platform. When President Xi Jinping met with President Sisi in Riyadh at the end of last year, he emphasized the "implementation of major projects such as the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone", which attracted the attention of all sectors of society in China and Egypt. He said that in order to provide better, closer and more efficient overseas investment services, China-Africa TEDA will take the lead in establishing offices in Hangzhou and Guangzhou to serve enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. He also introduced the future planning of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, especially the development of commercial real estate, as well as the nearly 40 years of "city-building" experience in TEDA and the wisdom of 15 years of overseas park exploration and practice-TEDA's overseas model, which attracted the attention of the guests.
It is reported that since the late 1990 s, Chinese companies have actively invested, constructed and operated various industrial parks in Africa. Including the TEDA Cooperation Zone, the number of non-Chinese-funded parks included in the statistics of the Ministry of Commerce of China reached 25, attracting more than 620 companies to enter the zone, with a cumulative investment of US $7.35 billion, employing 42000 local employees, and paying various taxes and fees to the host country.
