On July 6, the 2023 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum and Hubei International Technology Exchange Conference were held in Wuhan. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and the People's Government of Hubei Province. The theme of the conference was "Innovation Leads the Future, Cooperation and Sharing Opportunities." The meeting is part of a series of activities under the framework of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. Wang Zhonglin, Governor of the People's Government of Hubei Province, Zhang Guangjun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, Zhang Yaping, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other Chinese leaders, as well as ministers, ambassadors, counsellors, academicians, Chinese and foreign entrepreneurs from China and more than 30 African countries A total of more than 400 guests from representatives of universities and business associations gathered in Jiangcheng to attend the meeting. At the meeting, Vice Chairman Lai Siqing made a specific introduction from the perspective of corporate investment, combined with the development history of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, the investment environment of the park, the results of investment promotion, and the future development direction and planning of the park. The experience of localized talent training and the construction measures of the green smart park are introduced in detail. It fully demonstrates the investment advantages of the TEDA Cooperation Zone and its contribution to the construction of the people's livelihood in the host country.

At the promotion meeting, Vice Chairman Lai Siqing, as a representative of China-Africa TEDA Company, signed a memorandum of school-enterprise cooperation with Hubei University of Technology. Feng Zheng, president of Hubei University of Technology, said that the school attaches great importance to China-Africa cooperation and will give full play to its own characteristics and advantages in the future, focusing on the concrete implementation of the agreement in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, scientific research and innovation research, people-to-people exchanges, and personnel training, so that China-Africa cooperation can achieve substantial results.
