Egypt TEDA Special Zone Development Company is the main body of overseas implementation and operation of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Extension Zone (referred to as the "Extension Zone"), which was established in 2015. The registered capital of the company is $22 million. In January 2016, President Xi Jinping and President Sisi jointly unveiled the expansion zone project, marking that the TEDA Cooperation Zone has become a new position for Chinese companies to deploy the "Belt and Road" and the "Suez Canal Corridor Economic Belt. The expansion area covers an area of 6 square kilometers. Based on the guiding concept of "four lives in one", the planning and design includes three major areas: industrial zone, comprehensive service area, and residential area from south to north. It is divided into three phases of development and construction. The total investment of development and construction is expected to be 0.23 billion US dollars., Make every effort to build an industrial park, covering residential, commercial, financial, logistics park and other business formats, introducing technology development and modern services to build a brand new modern new city. During the 2018 China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit, President Sisi of Egypt personally witnessed the signing of major projects including the Xiamen Yanjiang Sanitary Products Project to enter the TEDA Cooperation Zone, and expressed his hope to give full play to the platform functions of the TEDA Cooperation Zone and further promote the innovation of the TEDA Cooperation Zone. The willingness to upgrade and achieve high-quality development. In order to actively implement the instructions and requirements of the leaders of China and Egypt on the construction of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, the TEDA Cooperation Zone will optimize the business environment, accelerate industrial agglomeration, expand the functions of the park, promote the linkage of the two zones, improve financial services, and promote cultural exchanges. Six aspects were comprehensively upgraded.
At present, the infrastructure construction of 2 square kilometers in the first phase of the expansion area has been completed, and various supporting facilities are operating well. Many companies including Dayong Motorcycle and Leichu Textile have been put into operation; the second phase of the expansion area has been completed in 2019 The land transfer was completed in April, and the construction of related supporting facilities was started simultaneously, the high-quality investment environment has successfully attracted many well-known domestic enterprises such as Midea, Zhejiang Caidie, Xinxing Casting Pipe, etc. At present, 56 enterprises have settled in the expansion area of the cooperation zone, attracting more than 0.55 billion US dollars of agreed investment. These projects are gradually attracting upstream and downstream supporting enterprises to settle in, promoting the continuous acceleration of industrial agglomeration in the expansion area, and greatly promoting economic and trade cooperation between China and Egypt.
