As an important starting point for promoting China-Egypt production capacity cooperation and a powerful engine for promoting Egypt's industrialization process, the 1.34-square-kilometer phase I project of the TEDA Cooperation Zone has attracted nearly 70 well-known Chinese and foreign companies to settle in by the end of 2016, attracting investment of more than 1 billion US dollars and solving employment for about 3000 people. With the joint unveiling of President Xi Jinping and President Sisi in January 2016, the second phase of the 6-square-kilometer TEDA Cooperation Zone has been completed. At present, the municipal infrastructure on the first plot has been completed and the conditions for enterprises to settle in. The project of China Dayuno and Egypt's largest automobile logistics company has been signed and settled.
