From April 28th to 29th, the 11th Entrepreneurs' Conference and the 9th Investment Symposium of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum were grandly held in Haikou. This grand event brought together over a thousand representatives from the political and business circles of China and Arab countries to explore new opportunities for cooperation. Liu Desheng, Deputy General Manager of Tianjin TEDA Investment Holding Co., Ltd., attended the event as an invited guest and delivered a keynote speech.
At the opening ceremony on the 28th, Liu Desheng introduced the development history of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone) to the attendees. He pointed out that after 15 years of development, the park has successfully attracted 185 enterprises, attracting a total investment of US$3 billion, generating US$300 million in taxes, and directly creating 10,000 jobs locally. Liu Desheng emphasized that in the process of development, the park has taken the integration of technological innovation and the industrial chain as its goal, establishing a two-way technical exchange platform, combining China's technological and industrial advantages in the fields of new energy and intelligent manufacturing with Egypt's geographical advantages, abundant resources, and industrial upgrading needs to build a digital industrial chain ecosystem.
On the 29th, at the China-Arab Industrial Park Exchange Roundtable, Liu Desheng shared the positive role of the TEDA Cooperation Zone in promoting China-Egypt industrial chain cooperation, promoting Egypt's export earnings, and solving Egypt's employment problems, as well as its rich experience in top-level design, model innovation, and green and digital upgrades. He pointed out that the transformation of the TEDA Cooperation Zone from a barren land into a key node in the global industrial chain proves that true cooperation is the mutual learning of civilizations, the complementarity of advantages, and the shared responsibility of destiny, which resonated deeply with the guests.
With the continuous deepening of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum, TEDA Holdings will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of technological innovation, industrial park construction, and green development, and work with Arab countries to jointly draw a new blueprint for pragmatic cooperation and jointly write a new chapter in the era of a China-Arab community with a shared future.
