Recently, Egyptian Ambassador to China, Khaled A.F. Nazmy, along with Chang Weicai, chairman of the China Construction Group's Egyptian branch, and Hu Fushun, chief Arabic interpreter, visited the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone) for an inspection and research. Wei Jianqing, general manager of Sino-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., and Cao Hui, executive director of Egypt TEDA Free Zone Development Co., Ltd., received them and reported on the achievements and future plans of the park.

At the symposium, the TEDA team detailed the cooperation zone's 17-year development history, industrial layout, and operational achievements, highlighting the outstanding contributions of the cooperation zone and its companies in promoting Egypt's economic growth, employment improvement, industrial upgrading, and China-Egypt people-to-people friendship. Ambassador Nazmy highly praised the comprehensive benefits of the cooperation zone, calling it a "model result of pragmatic cooperation between the two countries," and emphasized that he would actively support the strategic upgrading of the park, assist in solving development needs, attract more high-quality enterprises, and build an internationally competitive industrial cluster.

Ambassador Nazmy pointed out that Egypt is currently experiencing a golden opportunity for manufacturing upgrades and infrastructure expansion. Its low-cost energy, labor, and geographical advantages complement the financial and technological strength of Chinese companies, creating broad prospects for cooperation. He called on Chinese and Egyptian enterprises to seize the opportunity, deepen project docking, and inject new impetus into bilateral economic cooperation.

Wei Jianqing said that TEDA will continue to adhere to the principle of mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, play the role of the park platform, and help upgrade and improve China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation. Chang Weicai also stated that China Construction will increase its investment in Egypt, work with TEDA to expand cooperation areas, and contribute to the local socio-economic development.

After the meeting, the ambassador and his delegation conducted a field visit to the park, visited the Giant Stone factory, and exchanged views with company leaders. This visit demonstrates the Egyptian government's high regard for the cooperation zone and points the way for the cooperation zone to help deepen China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation.
