Visit of the Egyptian Economic Zone Facilities Company to Tianjin TEDA Industrial Development Co., Ltd. to promote the implementation of the substation project in the cooperation zone

Prior to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's sustainable development investment promotion event, Mr. Ahmed Salaheldin Abdel Fattah, CEO of the Egyptian Economic Zone Facilities Company (hereinafter referred to as the "Facilities Company"), led a delegation to visit TEDA Industrial Group. Key personnel from TEDA Industrial Group received the delegation, and both sides held in-depth consultations on further deepening cooperation and promoting the implementation of the 200-megawatt substation project in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "TEDA Cooperation Zone").
Key personnel from TEDA Industrial Group extended a warm welcome to Mr. Ahmed and his delegation and gave a detailed introduction to the group's operations and development. He pointed out that with the support of the Egyptian government and partners such as the Facilities Company, the infrastructure of the TEDA Cooperation Zone has become increasingly complete, and investment attraction has yielded significant results. Last year, Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouly witnessed the signing of several major projects in Beijing, which will be located in the TEDA Cooperation Zone, placing high expectations on the future development of the cooperation zone. This meeting is one of the important measures to promote the strategic upgrading and high-quality development of the cooperation zone. This year's SCO summit will be held in Tianjin, and next year marks the tenth anniversary of the unveiling of the second phase of the TEDA Cooperation Zone by the heads of state of China and Egypt, providing a good opportunity for closer cooperation between China and Egypt, TEDA, and the Suez Canal Economic Zone. With the attention and support of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, TEDA will accelerate the planning and expansion of its overseas layout, deepen China-Egypt cooperation, and build the TEDA Cooperation Zone into a bridgehead for Tianjin's opening to the outside world and a benchmark park for the Belt and Road Initiative.
Mr. Ahmed spoke highly of the construction achievements of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, calling it a "benchmark project for industrial parks in Egypt." He stated that TEDA enjoys a high reputation in China's park development field, and the Facilities Company is full of expectations for the substation project cooperation and is willing to work with TEDA to promote the efficient implementation of the project, injecting new impetus into deepening China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation.
The heads of China-Africa TEDA and TEDA Power respectively introduced the prospects of the substation project in the cooperation zone and the development of TEDA Power at the meeting, expressing their desire to accelerate the cooperation process between the two sides.
Both sides conducted detailed communication on the external line connection points of the 200-megawatt substation project, conducted pragmatic exchanges on specific contents such as technical solutions and implementation nodes, and clarified the next steps. Relevant personnel from China-Africa TEDA, TEDA Power, and the Facilities Company participated.
