Recently, the "2025 Egypt China Business Council Charity Month Activity" jointly organized by the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, the Egypt China Business Council, the Egypt-China Friendship Association, and the Oman Charity Association of Egypt was successfully held in Giza Governorate, Egypt. Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang once said: "Through the Ramadan charity activities, I have seen Chinese enterprises in Egypt carry forward the traditional Chinese virtues of public spiritedness and selfless dedication, establishing a good image of Chinese people and conveying more positive energy through practical actions."
Ambassador Zhang Tao said: "Ramadan is a sacred month for Muslims' spiritual cleansing, and it is also a time to show unity, love, and mutual assistance." "While actively participating in Egypt's economic construction, Chinese companies take the initiative to assume social responsibilities, conveying China's friendly sentiments towards the Egyptian people through practical actions and promoting the sound development of bilateral relations. The Chinese Embassy in Egypt and Chinese companies in Egypt will continue to carry out more projects that benefit the people."
The event raised 2.68 million Egyptian pounds in donations, purchasing more than 4,300 Ramadan gift boxes to help the Egyptian people. After some supplies were distributed on the spot, a fleet of vehicles carrying aid slowly headed towards Cairo, Giza, Fayoum, Beni Suef and other places. This act of kindness not only demonstrates the social responsibility of Chinese companies in actively integrating into and giving back to Egyptian society, but has also been highly recognized and praised by relevant Egyptian government departments and all sectors of society.

As an important participant in the event, the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) has always been committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and Egypt in various fields such as economy and culture. Since its official establishment, TEDA has participated in almost every year's Ramadan charity event in Egypt. In addition to actively participating in collective actions, TEDA also voluntarily donates learning materials to orphans in Egypt; cooperates with local heart disease treatment institutions to organize fund-raising activities to save children; visits the Egyptian Children's Cancer Hospital Foundation, with employees voluntarily donating to help sick children…TEDA's actions in actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility have been unanimously recognized and widely praised by Egyptian society. Cao Hui said that TEDA will continue to support and participate in such charity activities to make greater contributions to promoting friendship and common development between the two peoples of China and Egypt. In the future, TEDA will continue to work with all parties to jointly promote the continuous development of China-Egypt friendly relations.
