Since the signing of the cooperation agreement for the construction of the China-Egypt Tianjin Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Digital Empowerment Center between the Tianjin Cooperation Zone and Huawei at the beginning of the year, the relevant work of both parties has been rapidly advanced. Recently, Li Daixin, Chairman of China-Africa Tianjin Investment Co., Ltd., and Xu Qifeng, Executive Director of Egypt Tianjin Investment Company, were invited to visit Huawei's headquarters in Shenzhen, Guangdong, for in-depth investigation and communication. They were warmly received by Liu Jinpeng, CEO of Huawei Egypt Technology Co., Ltd., Xu Fuqiu, Vice President of Huawei Cloud Overseas Business Region, and managers Wang Dong, Wang Longjiang, and Zhang Kai.
During this visit, the Tianjin representatives focused on visiting the Huawei Cloud Planck Exhibition Hall, where they listened in detail to the technological achievements related to the construction of digital parks, data centers, and intelligent computing centers, as well as Huawei's successful cases in these fields. The practical results of Huawei's cutting-edge technology and innovative applications were impressive, providing valuable references for the digital development of the Tianjin Cooperation Zone.
Subsequently, both parties held a productive discussion meeting at Huawei's headquarters. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on several important topics, including Ascend Cloud, large models, digital empowerment in the manufacturing industry, and the development of smart parks, and specifically exchanged views on the construction of data centers in Egypt. Through this in-depth discussion, both parties clarified the future cooperation direction and promotion steps, laying a solid foundation for the upcoming cooperation implementation.
In addition, the Tianjin representatives also visited the Huawei Shannon Exhibition Hall to further understand Huawei's innovative achievements in communication technology and digitalization. After that, the Tianjin representatives went to Songshan Lake Xiliu Peipo Village to inspect Huawei's R&D base and experienced Huawei's solid strength in technology research and development and innovation systems.
This visit and exchange not only deepened the mutual understanding and trust between the Tianjin Cooperation Zone and Huawei but also showcased Huawei's professional strength as a leader in China's information and communication technology industry and a global leader in communication equipment and solutions. Huawei's advanced technology and forward-thinking ideas greatly inspired the Tianjin representatives, further igniting their enthusiasm for cooperation.
As an important carrier for jointly building the "Belt and Road" and a key platform for economic and trade cooperation, overseas parks will play an important role in promoting international exchanges and cooperation. Currently, the cooperation project between Tianjin and Huawei to build a digital empowerment center for the manufacturing industry in the Tianjin Cooperation Zone will undoubtedly provide new ideas and models for both parties in exploring "data connectivity" under the framework of the "Belt and Road" initiative. As the innovative framework of "one cloud, one network, one platform" gradually unfolds, the prototype of the first national-level digital economic and trade cooperation zone is also gradually taking shape. In this process, Tianjin will not only provide strong support for Chinese-funded enterprises serving overseas investment in digital transformation but also inject new vitality and momentum into the digital economic cooperation between China and Egypt, jointly painting a beautiful blueprint for the future.
