On December 26, 2024, against the backdrop of increasingly close economic and trade cooperation between China and Egypt, the China-Egypt Tianjin Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (Tianjin Cooperation Zone), Huawei Technologies (Egypt) Co., Ltd., and Hengtong Optic-Electric Egypt Co., Ltd. signed the "Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation for the Intelligent Empowerment Center of the Manufacturing Industry in the China-Egypt Tianjin Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone" in Egypt. This move marks a new stage in the digital and intelligent transformation of the Tianjin Cooperation Zone.

The memorandum was jointly signed by Xu Qifeng, Executive Director of Egypt Tianjin Investment Company, Xu Fuqiu, CEO of Huawei Cloud Egypt, and Fang Shaolei, CEO of Hengtong Optic-Electric Egypt. Li Daixin, Chairman of China-Africa Tianjin Investment Co., Ltd., Liu Jinpeng, CEO of Huawei Egypt Technology Co., Ltd., and Yao Feng, General Manager of Hengtong International Engineering Construction Co., Ltd., witnessed the signing of the memorandum.

Overseas parks, as natural carriers and important tools for jointly building the "Belt and Road" and achieving the "Five Connectivity," play a significant platform role in international economic and trade cooperation. The launch of the Intelligent Empowerment Center for the Manufacturing Industry in the Tianjin Cooperation Zone will become a powerful innovation for Tianjin and Huawei to explore "data connectivity." According to the memorandum, the construction of the Intelligent Empowerment Center will be carried out around the innovative framework of "One Cloud, One Network, One Platform," aiming to comprehensively enhance the intelligent capabilities of enterprises in the park.

One Cloud refers to the CloudPond on-site cloud created by Huawei, which can provide secure, efficient, and flexible cloud computing services for enterprises in the park, helping them achieve intelligent upgrades.

One Network is the optical fiber communication network designed and built by Hengtong Optic-Electric, which constructs efficient and reliable communication infrastructure with excellent performance and wide coverage.

One Platform is the digital empowerment platform jointly created by Tianjin and Huawei, which integrates multiple resources and advanced technologies to provide the first public service digital platform for overseas parks and customized digital transformation solutions, promoting the intelligent development of overseas parks.

Building a digital economy highland along the "Belt and Road".

As a model project highly praised by various sectors in China and Egypt, the Tianjin Cooperation Zone has attracted about 180 high-quality enterprises to settle in, covering multiple industrial clusters such as new building materials, chemicals, textiles, and new energy, injecting strong momentum into regional economic development.
