The job fair was held at the Confucius Institute of Suez Canal University, attracting numerous Chinese-funded enterprises and providing abundant employment opportunities for local students.
The participation of the TEDA Zone was warmly welcomed by Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University. Xu Qifeng and his team met with Zhang Huasheng, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, and Akram Galal, Governor of Ismailia Province, to discuss topics such as supporting the development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Egypt and improving the employment level of Egyptian employees. They unanimously agreed that the TEDA Zone and Suez Canal University play an important role as platforms for promoting the 'Belt and Road' initiative and 'people-to-people connectivity' in terms of talent cultivation, employment opportunities, and cultural exchange.
The atmosphere at the job fair was lively, attracting over 20 Chinese-funded enterprises operating in Egypt, covering various professional fields such as translation, engineering, information technology, and business, providing more than 300 job positions for local talents. The TEDA Zone received significant attention at the job fair, with its booth attracting a large number of job seekers and media representatives. Xu Qifeng was interviewed by Xinhua News Agency on-site, detailing Egypt TEDA's efforts in cultivating localized talent and promoting China-Egypt cooperation, further highlighting the important role of the TEDA Zone as a bridge. Xu Qifeng stated that the TEDA Zone, as an important platform for connecting the 'Belt and Road' initiative with Egypt's development strategy, has attracted 175 enterprises, with a large demand for labor. The TEDA Zone hopes to play a bridging role by providing better local talent for enterprises entering the zone, while also offering better channels for Egyptian universities to connect with outstanding Chinese enterprises.
With the deep integration of the 'Belt and Road' initiative and Egypt's national development strategy, cooperation between China and Egypt is deepening, and the demand for localized professional talent has significantly increased as many Chinese enterprises settle in Egypt. The TEDA Zone, as an important bridge for China-Egypt economic cooperation, actively collaborates with Egyptian universities to support local talent development through various forms such as employment and training, promoting the integration of economic and cultural 'five connectivity'. In the future, the TEDA Zone will continue to play its platform role, promoting seamless connections between Chinese-funded enterprises and local economic development and education training, contributing significantly to the development of China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation.
