China-Africa TEDA Attends 2024 Haihe International Consumption Forum

A few days ago, the 2024 Haihe International Consumer Forum opened in Tianjin, and China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. (China-Africa TEDA) was invited to attend. About 400 representatives of well-known experts and scholars, leading enterprises and think tanks gathered together to exchange useful experiences in boosting consumption and discuss cutting-edge trends and innovative models in the field of consumption from academic research, international perspectives, regional sharing, industry development and other dimensions through keynote sharing, report release, round-table dialogue, sub-forums, supporting activities and other forms, explore new ideas and new methods for cultivating and building international consumption center cities.
At the opening ceremony, the Consumer Promotion Department of the Ministry of Commerce released excellent practice cases and innovative measures for the cultivation and construction of international consumer center cities. Nankai University released the Research Report on the Cultivation and Construction of Tianjin International Consumption Center City. Participants held a roundtable dialogue around the theme of "Demand Release and Structural Reconstruction-Insights and Prospects of China's Consumer Market.
During the forum, the 2024 Tianjin key commercial project investment promotion meeting was held, which focused on displaying Tianjin's high-quality commercial resources. As an overseas cooperation project that Tianjin actively integrates into the construction of the "Belt and Road", the construction results of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone) have attracted attention. Li Daixin, chairman of China-Africa TEDA, said in an interview with Xinhua News Agency that as of the end of September this year, the TEDA Cooperation Zone had attracted 175 companies to settle in, attracting investment of about US $3 billion, and cumulative sales of nearly US $4.9 billion, which has solved nearly 10,000 local jobs. "During the China-Africa Cooperation Forum held this year, we signed more than 1 billion US dollars of contracts with six well-known enterprises in the industry, involving photovoltaic glass, chlor-alkali chemical industry, solar cells, home appliance supply chain and other industrial types. After being put into production, it will create more than 3000 jobs for Egypt." Li Daixin said.
The TEDA Cooperation Zone is a demonstration project for China-Africa cooperation to jointly build the "Belt and Road". It is also a key platform for promoting economic and trade cooperation and production capacity cooperation between China and Egypt. The park continues to innovate products, improve the level of software and hardware services, and is committed to building services for Chinese companies. The "going out" high-quality bridge actively provides help for Chinese companies' products and supply chains to go to sea.
