Egyptian politicians: China provides ideological strength and action plan for world peace and development

The Egyptian think tank Global Future Research Forum recently held a seminar on "China and Middle East Peace" in Cairo. A number of Egyptian politicians attending the meeting said that China, as a responsible power and a permanent member of the Security Council, provides ideological strength and action plans for world peace and development, including the Middle East issue, and expects China to play a greater role in maintaining and promoting peace, stability and development in the Middle East.
Liao Liqiang, Chinese ambassador to Egypt, Egyptian government officials, political party leaders, former dignitaries and Chinese and Egyptian media personages attended the seminar.
Tariq Nasir, general secretary of the Egyptian Fatherland Protector Party and chairman of the Global Future Research Forum, said that the series of initiatives put forward by China in recent years are aimed at achieving common development and peace for all countries in the world. The seminar hopes to build more bridges for exchanges between China and regional countries, so that regional countries have the opportunity to learn from China's new development concept and help regional countries and people achieve development and cope with crises.
Nuha Hader, a senior official on East Asian affairs at the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that China has always been committed to achieving the development of countries in the Middle East and enhancing the well-being of the people, which has laid a solid foundation for regional peace and stability. Egypt is willing to make joint efforts with China to resolve all kinds of crises in the Middle East, realize peace and stop war.
Former Egyptian Foreign Minister and Chairman of the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Committee Mohamed Urabi said that development is an indispensable factor for achieving peace. Without development, there can be no talk of peace and stability in the Middle East. China has played a very important role in promoting development, and Middle Eastern countries need to learn from China's wisdom and Chinese solutions.
In his speech, Liao Liqiang reiterated China's position and propositions on the Middle East issue, calling for an immediate ceasefire to stop the war, prevent the expansion of the conflict, and earnestly implement the "two-state solution" to promote an early, comprehensive, just and lasting settlement of the Palestinian issue.
