According to a report by Egypt's official television station Nile TV, the new Egyptian cabinet with Mustafa Madbouli as prime minister was sworn in in the capital Cairo on the 3rd.
The report said that in the inauguration ceremony held on the same day, Madbouli, who has been the prime minister since 2018, led 30 new cabinet members to swear to President Sisi at the Egyptian Presidential Palace.
The changes in the new government involve foreign affairs, finance, supply and domestic trade, oil, electricity, tourism and other departments. The number of departments has been adjusted from 33 to 30. In the new cabinet, Ahmad Kushuk became finance minister. The Ministry of State for Immigration and Expatriate Affairs was incorporated into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Badr Abdul Atti as Minister. Sharif Farooq became Minister of Supply and Domestic Trade, Karim Badawi became Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Mahmoud Ismat became Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
