China-Africa TEDA was invited to participate in the "African Market Promotion Conference-Egypt Special Session" and made a special promotion.
On the afternoon of June 17, the "African Market Promotion Conference-Egypt Special Session" was held. The conference was held simultaneously online in Fuzhou, Beijing, Tianjin and Cairo, Egypt in the form of "video conference webcast. Huang Naen, deputy director of Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce and first-class inspector, delivered a speech at the meeting and introduced Fujian's investment and trade advantages. Ahmed Zaki, Commercial Minister of the Egyptian Embassy in China, delivered a speech in Beijing. Song Caicen of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. connected in Tianjin to introduce the development and investment advantages of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone for short) to Fujian enterprises.
This promotion conference is hosted by the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, and co-organized by the Egyptian Embassy in China, China Credit Insurance Fujian Branch, and China Construction Bank Fujian Branch. The theme is to promote cooperation with Africa in new business formats such as the digital economy and trade and investment fields. Focus on the market, focus on promoting the investment and trade advantages of both parties, and actively promote the opportunities brought by the construction of a free trade zone on the African continent.
In recent years, economic and trade exchanges between Fujian and Egypt have been close. Egypt is not only Fujian's third largest trading partner and third largest export market in Africa, but also is developing rapidly in new business formats such as digital industry and automobile industry. At present, Egypt has a population of more than 0.1 billion and a vast domestic market; Egypt has signed a package of trade agreements with the Middle East, Africa, the European Union, and the United States, and many products can enter the above markets without tariffs and quotas. The government promotes economic development through the construction of large-scale infrastructure projects, and there are many opportunities for equipment manufacturing, furniture and building materials and other industries. In addition, Egypt has stable internal affairs, rapid economic growth, superior geographical location, prominent preferential policies, low production costs, and strong investment attraction. It is very suitable for the development of high-quality industries such as petrochemicals, equipment manufacturing, textiles, shoes and clothing, home building materials, automobiles, and biomedicine.
The TEDA Cooperation Zone is a demonstration project of China-Africa cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". It is the only national overseas economic and trade cooperation zone project in China that was unveiled and promoted by two national leaders. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the promotion of project construction in many speeches. The project is adjacent to the Suez Canal and has a very advantageous geographical location; complete software and hardware supporting facilities and preferential policies have attracted 102 companies to settle in, with an actual investment of more than US $1.2 billion. In recent years, Fujian enterprises represented by Xiamen Yanjiang New Materials Co., Ltd. have settled in the TEDA Cooperation Zone and developed rapidly. The TEDA Cooperation Zone has also become the preferred platform for more and more Fujian enterprises to invest and trade in Egypt.
With the support of the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, China-Africa TEDA will also discuss business opportunities for cooperation with more Fujian enterprises, play an increasingly important role as a platform for Chinese enterprises and Fujian enterprises to steadily open up overseas markets, and promote China-Africa, Fujian-Africa economic and trade Upgrade and development of cooperation.
