Syrian CIC Enters Used Cars and Spare Parts Distribution Center in China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone
On February 22, 2022, the signing ceremony of Syria's Cars International Company (CIC) to enter the expansion zone of China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone) was solemnly held in the conference room of China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone. Song Caicen, Executive Director of Egypt's TEDA Special Administrative Region Development Company, and Mr. Mohamed Geas Shaala, General Manager of CIC, signed the land transfer contract at the ceremony on behalf of both companies.
The successful signing of this contract is of great significance and further demonstrates the value and effect of the China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone as an "international platform. Prior to this, the cooperation zone has become a "demonstration base for economic and trade cooperation" for the development of more than 120 well-known Chinese and Egyptian enterprises and even industry leaders ". The entry of Syrian companies, on the one hand, reflects the attractiveness of the China-Egypt-Taida Cooperation Zone to global companies; on the other hand, the expansion of the "nationality" of enterprises entering the zone will inevitably enhance the region's industrial driving capacity and market influence. It is conceivable that the investment value and service capabilities of the "international platform" of the China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone will complement each other and increase in value, providing companies from more countries with better investment options.
The contracted project covers an area of 5188 square meters and is mainly used for the future operation of CIC's second-hand cars, new cars, and heavy construction equipment import, storage and re-export business. With the entry of the project, the gathering and development of the second-hand automobile industry in the China-Egypt-TEDA Cooperation Zone will be further expanded, and the regional economic level will also be further improved. At the same time, it will also provide demonstrations for other second-hand cars, new cars, machinery and equipment and logistics companies that are willing to enter the park, and encourage them to expand their business scale and investment scope.
At the project signing site, the CIC project team highly recognized the existing work results of the Sino-Eteda Cooperation Zone and the future development plan of the used car business, and fully affirmed the demonstration effect brought by the operation of the used car display and sales center. Mr. Mohamed Geyas Shaala said that the high-quality business environment provided by the TEDA Cooperation Zone has given them confidence in project investment and future business development in the cooperation zone.
In the future, the TEDA Cooperation Zone will continue to use the second-hand car business as a starting point to build an international second-hand car and parts distribution center, attracting international suppliers, logistics companies, sellers, operators, and supply chain platforms to fully enter the cooperation zone platform. At the same time, to carry out re export trade to the Middle East, Africa and other regions, we can make full use of its geographical location, existing routes, goods transit and other conditions, lay a good trade foundation for the global distribution of second-hand cars to the Middle East and Africa market, and improve the status of TEDA cooperation zone in the international second-hand car export trade.
