Happy event in pairs! Egypt Marine Settles in China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone
On February 24, 2022, Egyptian Marine and Engineering Service Co. (MESCO) entered the expansion area of China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (MESCO). The signing ceremony was solemnly held in the conference room of China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone. Song Caicen, Executive Director of TEDA Development Corporation of Egypt, and Mr. Sharif Mohamed Amir, Executive Director of MESCO, signed the land transfer contract at the ceremony on behalf of the two companies.
The contracted project covers an area of 10301.8 square meters, and MESCO intends to use it to carry out services and related businesses such as logistics storage and container storage. With the entry of the project, it further highlights the development and demonstration role of the logistics industry in the China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone, as well as the value and effect of the China-Egypt TEDA Cooperation Zone as an "international platform". And the grand plan to build a cross-border commodity distribution center.
At the project signing site, the MISCO project team highly recognized the existing work results of the Sino-Eteda Cooperation Zone and fully affirmed the demonstration effect of the TEDA-Royal bonded warehouse in the Suhana area.

As an important part of the "park upgrade", the logistics business provides strong support for the smooth development of the "park upgrade" in the China-ETEDA Cooperation Zone. In 2019, the Egyptian government specifically approved TEDA to become the only Chinese-funded enterprise that can carry out international logistics bonded and general trade and re-export trade in Egypt. In December 2020, the first Chinese-funded bonded warehouse project in Egypt was officially put into operation in TEDA-Royal in the expansion area of the Sino-Eteda Cooperation Zone, and is currently carrying out bonded storage business with a number of well-known shipping companies and global logistics and trade enterprises, and the bonded warehouse has been operating at full capacity since the beginning of 2022.
In the future, TEDA Cooperation Zone will continue to build a global cross-border commodity distribution center, expand the scale of logistics bonded storage land, and sincerely welcome international suppliers, logistics enterprises, sellers, operators and supply chain platforms to enter the cooperation zone platform. At the same time, to carry out re-export trade to the Middle East, Africa and other regions, we can make full use of the superior geographical location of the cooperation zone and the existing routes, goods transit and other conditions, so as to lay a good trade foundation for the distribution of global products to the Middle East and African market. At the same time, TEDA will further build an international service marketing platform and improve the position of TEDA cooperation zone in the international logistics market.
