On April 16, local time, the 2022 Ramadan charity event was held in Cairo. Ahmed, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity of Egypt, Liao Liqiang, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, Chang Weicai, President of the Egyptian Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Song Caicen, Executive Director of the Egyptian TEDA Special Zone Development Company, and Zhang Zhixiang, Assistant Executive Director, attended the event.

Liao Liqiang, Chinese ambassador to Egypt, highly appreciated the good deeds of Chinese enterprises in Egypt and Chinese in Egypt. Liao Liqiang said, "The Ramadan gift box is very well prepared and very heartwarming, all of which are needed by friends with difficult families in Egypt. I would like to pay high tribute to every friend of China and Egypt who participated in this event."

The Egyptian Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity, Ahmed, highly affirmed the positive significance of this event. He said, "This charity event reflects the originality and fruitful results of the people-to-people cooperation between Egypt and China. China is a close friend and partner of Egypt, and China has often extended a helping hand to the Egyptian people and worked together to promote the development of Egyptian society."

It is reported that more than 30 Chinese-funded enterprises in Egypt participated in this event, raising a total of 1 million Egyptian pounds for donations, and will distribute nearly 3000 boxes of materials to poor families in many provinces in Egypt.

In fact, since the official establishment of the district, TEDA has participated in almost every year of Egyptian Ramadan charity activities. In addition to actively participating in collective action, TEDA also spontaneously donated school supplies and other materials to Egyptian orphans; cooperated with local heart disease treatment institutions to organize donations to treat children; visited the Egyptian Children's Cancer Hospital Foundation, and employees spontaneously donated money to help sick children ...... TEDA's actions to actively fulfill its corporate civic social responsibility have been unanimously recognized and widely praised by Egyptian society.
