China (Tianjin) Used Car Export Overseas Fair Opens Teda Cooperation Zone and Three Countries to Promote Domestic Used Cars to Sea

On November 3, the second China (Tianjin) second-hand car export overseas fair opened at the Dongjiang Fengchi Automobile bonded Exhibition Center in Tianjin Free Trade Zone. Through domestic and international video connection, it was launched simultaneously with Dubai Automobile Free Trade Zone in the United Arab Emirates and China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as "TEDA Cooperation Zone"). Song Caicen, executive director of Egypt's TEDA Special Zone Development Company, attended the meeting and delivered a speech as one of the representatives of the overseas exhibition platform of this event.

The development of second-hand car trade plays a positive role in promoting the TEDA Cooperation Zone to move towards a comprehensive platform of industrial services and business services, and deepening the "Belt and Road" economic and trade cooperation. Since President Xi Jinping visited Egypt in 2016 and personally unveiled the second phase of the cooperation zone, the number of enterprises settled in, the amount of taxes and fees paid, and the number of employed people have been constantly refreshed in the past six years. The TEDA Cooperation Zone has become a demonstration project of Sino-Egyptian economic and trade cooperation and a landmark park in the construction of "Belt and Road Initiative. In 2021, the TEDA Cooperation Zone officially became the landing point of the "second-hand car road at sea" between China and Egypt. At present, nearly 500 cars have been sold, attracting Zhejiang Merchants Holding, TLS, Huaxin Zhongan, Egypt Oriental Logistics, CIC, MESCO and other enterprises to settle in the cooperation zone, becoming the best Sino-Egyptian trade platform in Egypt with policies and services.

In this event, the overseas exhibition and sales locations were selected at the same time in two important transit hubs in the Middle East and Africa-Dubai and Egypt, forming a "three-country linkage" gathering effect. A total of more than 10 second-hand car export enterprises participated in the exhibition. In addition to Tianjin, they also attracted second-hand car export enterprises from Beijing, Shanghai, Sichuan and other places to participate actively. The participating models include Volkswagen ID3, ID4, ID6 series, Honda NS1, Hongqi EHS9, etc. It is estimated that the total number of participating vehicles will exceed 100. Since the opening day, the exhibition period is one month, and we continue to try to explore the demand for models in overseas markets.
