In 2012, China Jushi Egypt Glass Fiber Co., Ltd. (Jushi Egypt) was established in Suez, Egypt. Located on the coast of the Red Sea, Jushi Egypt has enabled Egypt's glass fiber industry to grow from scratch, effectively driving the vigorous development of local minerals, packaging materials and other upstream and downstream industrial chains, helping Egypt to upgrade its manufacturing industry, while training a large number of talents. Today, the stones like hills, through the megalithic Egypt, become as white as silk, as hard as steel, as light as paper fiberglass, and are transported to all parts of the world through Egyptian ports. Egypt's Jushi Glass Fiber Base has an annual production capacity of 340000 tons, making it the largest glass fiber production base on the African continent. Egypt has become the world's fourth largest glass fiber producer.
For more than ten years, many local employees and Egyptian boulders have achieved common career growth. Egyptian youth Suleiman entered Jushi Egypt after graduating from university in 2012. He started as a workshop craftsman. With his solid and willing attitude and hard work, he was promoted rapidly while the company developed at a high speed. Now he has become the deputy general manager of Jushi Egypt Company. Suleiman, who has visited China's Jushi headquarters for training and exchanges many times, said that "this is a win-win cooperation" and he looks forward to more Chinese companies coming to Egypt for construction. Dina, deputy manager of the planning and logistics department, has struggled and grown up with Jushi Egypt for ten years. After meeting her husband Abdullah in the company, she gained love and formed a family. Talking about career and family, Dina's mouth can't hide a smile.
As an important achievement of the "Belt and Road Initiative" jointly built by China and Egypt, Jushi Egypt actively supported local economic development, directly provided more than 2000 jobs, and accumulated tax revenue of more than 40 million US dollars and foreign exchange income of more than 1 billion US dollars. Today, Jushi Egypt is the leading enterprise in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the largest Chinese investment in Egypt's manufacturing sector so far.
