On the morning of October 11, the delegation of Zhejiang Branch of China Development Bank was led by Vice President Shen Dan to visit the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone). Xu Qifeng, executive director of Egypt TEDA Investment Company, warmly received the delegation. The delegation was accompanied by Shen Xiaodong, head of Jushi Egypt Glass Fiber Industry Co., Ltd.
During the visit, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on serving Chinese enterprises to go to sea, providing financial support for enterprises, deepening financial cooperation with Egypt, and promoting economic and trade development. Vice President Shen said that the TEDA Cooperation Zone, as an important platform for economic, trade and investment cooperation between China and Egypt, has important strategic significance. China Development Bank helps China and Africa deepen practical cooperation, will implement the achievements of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and continue to increase financial support for key projects.
In the exhibition hall, Xu Qifeng explained in detail the development process and remarkable achievements of TEDA cooperation zone. Up to now, the cooperation zone has attracted 175 Chinese and foreign enterprises to settle in, forming a number of industrial clusters, such as passenger cars, textiles, new building materials, electrical and electrical, white goods, new energy, chemical industry, etc., which has become an important engine of regional economic development and created huge political, economic and social benefits. In particular, it is worth mentioning that during the summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, the cooperation zone welcomed the signing of a number of heavyweight enterprises.
In the conference room of the cooperation zone, the two sides held a discussion. Xu Qifeng introduced the situation of the projects of Zhejiang enterprises entering the zone. The investment projects of Zhejiang enterprises in the cooperation zone cover many fields, including high-tech, manufacturing and service industries. The entry of these enterprises not only brings advanced technology and management experience, but also injects new vitality into the economic development of the cooperation zone. Vice President Shen expressed his recognition and praise for the high-quality platform created by the TEDA Cooperation Zone for Chinese enterprises to go to sea, and expressed his gratitude to TEDA for its support and attention to the development of Zhejiang enterprises in Egypt. China Development Bank is willing to empower overseas enterprises to provide financing and loan support for high-quality projects.
Xu Qifeng expressed his gratitude to CDB for its long-term support and introduced the latest development and future plans of the cooperation zone. The cooperation zone will continue to strive to create a high-quality investment environment, attract more leading enterprises to settle in, accelerate the gathering of industrial chains, promote the sustainable development of Egypt's regional economy, and contribute to the economic, trade and investment cooperation between China and Egypt.
Subsequently, TEDA accompanied the delegation to visit the representative office of the China Development Bank in Cairo and held a discussion.
