Talat, and Qian Jianlin, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hengtong Group, Tan Huiliang, on behalf of Hengtong Group, signed a memorandum of understanding with Ahmed el Zaher, CEO of the Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency. This is the third time that Hengtong has signed a cooperation agreement with the Egyptian government. In 2019 and 2023, at the second and third "Belt and Road Initiative" International Cooperation Summit Forum, Hengtong was invited to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in relevant fields with relevant Egyptian departments.
On the basis of close cooperation between the two parties, in December 2021, Hengtong Optoelectronics Egypt Co., Ltd. was completed and put into production in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone, becoming an important product delivery base for Hengtong in the Middle East and North Africa, which greatly promoted Egypt The improvement of local communication infrastructure has promoted fiber-to-the-home, and connected the "Belt and Road" initiative with Egypt's "decent life" plan. In addition, Egypt Hengtong also signed a talent strategic cooperation agreement with Suez Canal University to train local technical talents and promote youth employment. In 2023, Egyptian Prime Minister Madbouli visited Hengtong, Egypt, and expressed his affirmation and appreciation for Hengtong's contribution in Egypt.
In recent years, Hengtong has continuously increased its investment in Africa, bringing world-leading technology, equipment, talents, products and services to the region, and actively implementing the "China-Africa Friendship and Cooperation Plan in the New Era".
