With the strong support of the governments of the two countries, under the joint guidance of the Tianjin Municipal Government, the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the Egyptian Ministry of Basic Education and Technology, the Egyptian Luban Workshop is organized by Tianjin Light Industry Vocational and Technical College and Tianjin Transportation Vocational College. The two schools are jointly constructed in cooperation with Egypt's Ain Shams University and Cairo Advanced Maintenance Technical School. Ain Shams University builds three majors: CNC equipment application and maintenance, new energy application technology, and automobile application and maintenance technology; Cairo Advanced Maintenance Technology School builds two majors: CNC machining technology and automobile maintenance technology.

In April 2019, Liu Aimin, the representative of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, the chairman of the Egyptian TEDA Special Zone Development Company, signed a school-enterprise cooperation memorandum with Egypt's Ain Shams University, Tianjin Light Industry Vocational and Technical College, and Tianjin Transportation Vocational College., Lay a good foundation for cooperation.
