The construction of the Yanjiang plant in Egypt started, and the "internal circulation" on the platform of the TEDA cooperation zone has produced new fruits.
On December 28, local time in Egypt, the opening ceremony of the first phase of the plant project of Egypt Yanjiang New Materials Co., Ltd. (referred to as Egypt Yanjiang), an enterprise in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (referred to as TEDA Cooperation Zone), was successfully held in the TEDA Cooperation Zone expansion area. Yang Wenzhong, General Manager of Yanjiang Group Engineering Project, Lin Xiangchun, General Manager of Yanjiang Group Egypt Branch, Luo Songlei, Chairman of Egypt Zhongxin Industrial Co., Ltd., Huang Guoqiang, Deputy General Manager, Lou Zhiqiang, Executive Director of Egypt TEDA Wei Jianqing, Assistant Executive Director Li Chentao, Executive President Mr.Radwam, and Management Director Wei Na attended the event.

The construction of the project at a time when the haze is about to leave in 2020 is not only Yanjiang's declaration of war and farewell to the harsh environment, but also shows the group's expectation and confidence in the prospect of the Egyptian project. What is particularly rare is that the construction contractor of this project, Egypt Zhongxin Industrial Co., Ltd. (referred to as Egypt Zhongxin), like Yanjiang, Egypt, is an enterprise in the TEDA cooperation zone.
In recent years, as a demonstration base for Sino-Egyptian economic and trade cooperation, the TEDA Cooperation Zone has been committed to platform construction, creating an industrial ecosystem in the zone, and trying to push the industrial layout of "horizontal clusters and vertical chains" to network mutually beneficial symbiosis and coordinated development. Xiamen Yanjiang New Materials Co., Ltd. was established in 1995 and went public in 2017. It mainly produces PE perforated films and nonwoven materials used in disposable masks, sanitary napkins and infant diapers. Customers all over the world, and in 2017 in the TEDA cooperation zone to invest in the factory-Egypt Yanjiang New Materials Co., Ltd.
The total investment of the Yanjiang project in Egypt is about 1.5 billion Egyptian pounds, which will be constructed in three phases with a total land area of 130000 square meters. At present, the first phase of investment is about 0.5 billion Egyptian pounds, with annual revenue of about 1.3 billion Egyptian pounds and tax revenue of about 0.3 billion Egyptian pounds. At the same time, about 200 new jobs will be created on the original basis. Phase II and Phase III projects will start related construction after the first phase is successfully put into operation.
Zhongxin Industrial Co., Ltd. invested in the TEDA Cooperation Zone in early 2020, with a registered capital of US $1 million and a project area of 30000 square meters.
