Recently, the second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Expo) was held in Changsha. As a major highlight of this expo, the "China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Case Program Collection" was officially released. This book is not only another of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. A reference book is also a new milestone and a witness of the times for China-Africa deepening cooperation. The case of China-Egypt TEDA Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone submitted by China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. (referred to as China-Africa TEDA), as an excellent representative of platform construction, was once again selected into this case plan collection to help the sustainable development of overseas economic and trade cooperation zones.

The first Expo in 2019 creatively launched the "China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Case Plan Collection", carefully selected 101 cooperation cases between outstanding Chinese enterprises and African countries, and the TEDA Cooperation Zone was identified as a representative project of overseas park development cases. The project was included in the "Case Plan Collection" The first case, focusing on sharing the development results and experience of the TEDA Cooperation Zone to important leaders and political and business dignitaries from all over the world.

This year, in accordance with the principle of "replicable, operable, referable, sustainable, and landing", the Expo has collected a number of market-oriented projects to continue to launch the "China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Case Program Collection." Among them, China-Africa TEDA declared TEDA cooperation zone "TEDA overseas model" case, again successfully selected.

The TEDA Cooperation Zone is welcomed by the host country for its flexibility and inclusiveness, and is hailed as the "City of China-Egypt Cooperation" by the Egyptian government. The development practice of the TEDA Cooperation Zone has also contributed TEDA experience and Chinese wisdom to the economic and social development of the host country. In recent years, while achieving a "single point breakthrough", China-Africa TEDA is also actively exploring the cross-regional replication of "from 1 to N" in the development of overseas parks. The "TEDA Overseas Model" case selected by China-Africa TEDA this time is a set of development models for China's overseas economic and trade cooperation zones based on the actual national conditions of overseas countries. At present, this model has been applied to varying degrees in projects such as Kyaukpyu Industrial Park in Myanmar, Mombasa Free Trade Zone in Kenya, Djibouti Free Trade Zone, Kumasi Industrial Park in Ghana, and Mohammed VI Science and Technology City in Morocco.

TEDA Overseas Model Case of China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation

It is reported that this "Case Plan Collection" contains a total of 49 case plans, covering 19 African countries and 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities in China, covering platform construction, agricultural cooperation, production capacity cooperation, commercial trade, infrastructure, energy and power, Nine major areas of health, technological innovation and digital economy, and capacity building.

In the future, China-Africa TEDA, as a member of the CICA Industrialists Committee, will continue to promote the construction of cooperation mechanisms and resource linkages between China and Asian and African countries in industrial parks, share more than ten years of experience in the development and operation of overseas cooperation zones, and promote the development of China's overseas industrial parks. Promote the "China Model" to go global and help China's "One Belt One Road" construction.
