China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance North Africa Overseas Liaison Office set up in TEDA Cooperation Zone

On the morning of October 15, the 2021 China Textile Industry "the belt and road initiative" Conference was held in Huzhou.

Under the guidance of the China National Textile and Apparel Council and the Huzhou Municipal People's Government, this conference is hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Textile Industry Branch, the China Textile International Production Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance, and the Huzhou Municipal Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade. The theme of "Double Cycle of Trade and Investment" invites representatives of relevant domestic government departments and industry associations, relevant government departments of countries along the "Belt and Road", representatives, as well as domestic leading textile entrepreneurs and other industry personages, jointly discuss the "Belt and Road Initiative" trade and investment prospects of China's textile industry under the "double cycle" pattern, and join hands to plan the bright future of the sustainable development of industrial international cooperation.

In recent years, the world economic situation has been complex and changeable, and the international market has tortuously recovered from many unstable factors. Through continuous construction, the internal cycle of China's economy has begun to integrate with the markets of countries along the "Belt and Road Initiative" route. In this context, "double cycle", as a deeper reform and a higher level of opening up, is also an important way to maintain the continuity, stability and sustainability of macro policies. Trapped by factors such as policy changes in cooperative countries, soaring production factors and shipping costs, and domestic "double reduction" pressure, my country's textile enterprises are facing certain difficulties in overseas exports and urgently need to invest and build factories overseas. The establishment of overseas liaison offices in key overseas countries and regions is an important measure for the alliance to expand its work pattern and improve service quality under the new situation, and it is also a positive manifestation of the practical demands of all member units.

The China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (TEDA Cooperation Zone for short) is a demonstration project of China-Africa cooperation in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road". It is the only national overseas economic and trade cooperation zone project in China that was unveiled and promoted by two national leaders. General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the promotion of project construction in many speeches. The project is located at the junction of the three continents of Asia, Africa and Europe, adjacent to the Suez Canal, and has a very advantageous geographical location; with complete software and hardware facilities and preferential policies, it has attracted 117 enterprises to settle in, with an actual investment of more than 1.2 billion US dollars.

At present, Egypt has a population of more than 0.1 billion and a large domestic market; and Egypt has signed a package of trade agreements with the Middle East, Africa, the European Union, the United States, etc., and many products can enter the above markets free of tariff deductibles, coupled with Egypt's stable internal affairs, low production costs, and strong investment attraction. The TEDA Cooperation Zone has been deeply involved in Egypt for more than 10 years and has built a high quality investment platform for Chinese enterprises to deploy overseas. In addition, the General Administration of the Suez Canal Special Zone of Egypt has built a 35000-ton sewage treatment plant for enterprises entering the TEDA Cooperation Zone. The zone has become a destination for Chinese textile enterprises to invest in Africa. In recent years, Zhejiang Caidie, Leichu Textile, Pan-Ocean Textile, Pan-Ocean Textile and other powerful textile enterprises have settled in the TEDA Cooperation Zone, and the textile industry cluster in the TEDA Cooperation Zone has initially formed.

At the meeting that day, under the witness of the guests, with the lighting of the logo, the first batch of overseas liaison offices of the China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance-North Africa Liaison Office was officially established in the TEDA Cooperation Zone. "I am very pleased to be able to establish a deep cooperative relationship with the China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance, and jointly build a multi-faceted service platform for the mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between China and Egypt's textile industry." Mr. Liu Aimin, Chairman of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., the main body of investment and operation in TEDA Cooperation Zone, delivered a speech with pleasure. The TEDA Cooperation Zone will use its advantages of deep cultivation in Egypt for many years to actively provide relevant information needed to promote the "Belt and Road" cooperation in the textile industry, and contribute to the bilateral and multilateral industrial cooperation of the China Textile International Capacity Cooperation Enterprise Alliance in the countries along the "Belt and Road.
