China-Africa TEDA was invited to attend the 2022 China-Africa Middle East Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference
Recently, the 2022 China-Africa Middle East Economic and Trade Cooperation (Wuhan) Exchange Conference was successfully held online, including China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. (referred to as China-Africa TEDA), including domestic and foreign related enterprises, business associations, trade and investment promotion agencies, etc. Nearly 200 representatives participated in this event.
Wu Meng, director of the Bilateral Cooperation Department of the China Chamber of International Commerce, said in his speech that the China-Africa Middle East Economic and Trade Cooperation (Wuhan) Exchange Conference was held at the right time on the occasion of the 70th anniversary celebration of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
At the meeting, Minister of Tanzania Embassy in China Miraji Ukuti Us, President of the East African Federation of Industry, Agriculture and Commerce and Vice Chairman of the African Business Council Charles Nakush, Chinese Affairs Director of the Moroccan Entrepreneurs Federation and Chairman of the China-Morocco Business Council Mahdi Rahdi Rahzi, CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Center Joffi Grant, and the head of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office of the United Arab Emirates introduced the trade and investment business environment in key countries in Africa.

Cao Hui, representative of the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone and Director of China-Africa TEDA Investment Promotion, was invited to introduce Egypt's investment environment, investment advantages and the general situation of the TEDA Cooperation Zone to the guests. He said that the current epidemic in Egypt has been well controlled, production and operation and daily life have returned to normal. "Recently, the daily confirmed cases have been in the single digits." Cao Hui said that Egypt has the geographical advantage of guarding the key points of the three continents; the domestic political situation is stable and the international relations are balanced; it has signed a number of bilateral and multilateral trade agreements with Europe, the United States, Africa and other countries; and the domestic market is huge. Therefore, in recent years, Egypt's economic development has thrived among African countries, and its international rating is stable. Cao Hui also focused on the evolution, current situation and future planning of the TEDA Cooperation Zone. He mentioned that the TEDA Cooperation Zone is located in Egypt's only national-level special economic zone and enjoys a number of preferential investment policies. At present, the cooperation zone has attracted more than 120 enterprises to enter the zone, including China's top 500 and top 500 enterprises in the industry. Due to the location and policy advantages of the cooperation zone and the highly praised TEDA brand and service, the first phase of the 1.34 square kilometer starting area and the 2 square kilometer extension area has been sold out. At present, the investment promotion work is being carried out around the second phase of the extension area. Investors who are willing to explore the markets of Egypt, Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the United States are welcome to consult and inspect.
At this cooperation and exchange meeting, the Wuhan Council for the Promotion of International Trade signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Moroccan Entrepreneurs Association, the Zimbabwe Entrepreneurs Association, and the China Cameroon Chamber of Commerce to jointly promote Wuhan's economic and trade exchanges and cooperation with Africa.
