The meeting was presided over by Wang Xingchun, Director of the Chinese side of the Administrative Committee. First of all, China and Egypt fully affirmed the positive role played by the TEDA Cooperation Zone in attracting excellent projects to bring huge economic benefits to Egypt, and requested to continue to promote the upgrading and construction of the TEDA Cooperation Zone.
Subsequently, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on the key issues facing the development of the TEDA cooperation zone and enterprises entering the zone based on the implementation of the resolutions of the first meeting in 2019 and the relevant proposals of the second meeting.
Finally, the two parties agreed to continue their efforts to further simplify the processing process, clarify the processing deadline, and issue guidelines for project approval, company registration, and licensing as soon as possible, give full play to their respective advantages, integrate multiple resources, and improve the city in the TEDA cooperation zone or surrounding areas Supporting functions to promote the sustainable, stable and healthy development of the region. In addition, the two sides also exchanged views on improving the implementation rules of customs supervision, improving the work visa processing process, and promoting the construction of sewage treatment station facilities in the cooperation zone.
In January 2016, witnessed by the heads of state of China and Egypt, the two governments signed a three-level consultation mechanism. The Management Committee of the Cooperation Zone is the second layer of the cooperation mechanism. It is composed of relevant functional departments of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the General Administration of the Suez Canal Economic Zone of Egypt.
