The 10th ministerial meeting of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum was held in Beijing on the 30th. Egyptian Ambassador to China Hanaifi pointed out in an exclusive interview with Xinhua News Agency reporters that since its establishment in 2004, the various mechanisms of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum have promoted bilateral relations. The relationship has achieved considerable development, pragmatic cooperation has continued to increase, and Arab and China have taken solid steps to build a community with a shared future.
Hanaifi said that building a community with a shared future between Afghanistan and China requires the two sides to continue to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, promote common economic and social development, strengthen people-to-people bonds, and contribute to the maintenance of regional and international peace. At present, the China-Arab Cooperation Forum and the "the belt and road initiative" initiative are playing an important role.
Hanaifi believes that the ministerial meeting is of great significance in the course of Arab-Chinese cooperation. Arab-Chinese cooperation will discuss cooperation in traditional fields such as politics, economy and culture, as well as in emerging fields such as e-commerce, clean energy and space satellites, so as to further deepen Arab-Chinese relations.
Hanaifi said that Egypt-China relations are "at the best stage in all aspects." The two sides have close political relations, high-level visits have been exchanged many times, and economic cooperation has been fruitful. China is the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone and the new administrative capital. Contribute to many major development projects in Egypt such as the Central Business District.
In December 2022, the first China-Arab States Summit was successfully held, and the "Eight Common Actions" for China-Arab pragmatic cooperation were proposed, drawing a blueprint for deepening cooperation between the two sides.
In December 2023, China successfully launched the Egypt II satellite. After the satellite was put into use in orbit, it will provide strong support for Egypt to carry out land and resources survey, environmental disaster monitoring and assessment, etc.
Hanaifi said that only more than a year after the first China-Arab summit was held, Egypt and China have actively implemented the "eight joint actions" of China-Arab pragmatic cooperation, and the progress made is gratifying, not only in the research and development and launch of artificial satellites. The cooperation is close, and the cooperation space is continuously expanded in the fields of green development and technology transfer, and the scope of cooperation is further expanded.
In recent years, China and Egypt have been very active in exchanges and cooperation in the fields of culture, art, and education. The two sides have held cultural weeks, film festivals, cultural relics exhibitions, photo exhibitions and other colorful activities, which are well received by the people of the two countries. Hanaifi said: "Cultural exchanges and people-to-people communication are one of the cornerstones of Arab-Chinese relations.
