"TEDA Cooperation Zone and Nanxun Enterprise Docking Meeting" Successfully Held

Recently, the "TEDA Cooperation Zone and Nanxun Enterprise Matchmaking Meeting" was held in Nanxun District, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. The event was hosted by the Nanxun District Development and Reform Economic and Information Bureau. Ding Yiping, party secretary and director of Nanxun District Development and Reform Economic and Information Bureau, attended and presided over the meeting. Hua Xiaobin, member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Development and Reform Economic and Information Bureau of Nanxun District, Xin Gang, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment and Economic Cooperation Zone of the Tianjin Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Wei Jianqing, Deputy General Manager of China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd., General Manager of Industrial Real Estate Investment Egypt Division Fu Shen, Investment Manager Gao Zhan, and heads of more than 20 enterprises from the wood, textile, apparel, mechanical and electrical, electronics and electronic industries attended the event.
Deputy General Manager Wei Jianqing said that Zhejiang is a major foreign trade province with active overseas investment. At present, Zhejiang enterprises in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone account for more than 60%, making it the largest source of investment in the cooperation zone. He pointed out that at the beginning of this year, the first overseas stop of the "Silk Road Escort" of Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Commerce visited the TEDA Cooperation Zone. In May, the Zhejiang Liaison Office of the TEDA Cooperation Zone was unveiled. In June, Secretary Wen Jianfei visited the TEDA Cooperation Zone and put forward the idea of cooperation. The friendship between TEDA and Nanxun is getting deeper and deeper. He said that Nanxun's characteristic leading industries are very compatible with the industrial layout of the TEDA Cooperation Zone, and enterprises are welcome to invest in the TEDA Cooperation Zone.
The TEDA Cooperation Zone is a landmark project for the strategic docking of my country's "One Belt, One Road" construction and the development of the Suez Canal Corridor in Egypt. As of the end of June 2023, the TEDA Cooperation Zone has attracted more than 140 companies to settle in, with an investment of more than US $1.7 billion, a cumulative sales of more than US $3.8 billion, directly solving more than 5000 jobs, and industry-driven employment of about 50000 people. Jushi, Xidian, Universiade, Midea, Shepherd, Wanhe and many other leading Chinese industry companies are booming here. Egypt's international strategic location, the mature supporting facilities of the TEDA Cooperation Zone and the advantages of industrial clusters, as well as the demonstration of nearby companies such as Zhejiang Caidie Industry, many participating companies expressed strong willingness to invest in Egypt and the TEDA Cooperation Zone.
