On April 24, local time, the opening ceremony of the Egyptian manufacturing plant of China Construction Steel Structure Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Construction Steel Structure) under China Construction Technology was held in the China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as TEDA Cooperation Zone). More than 100 Chinese and foreign guests, including El-din Walid Gamal, chairman of the General Administration of the Suez Canal Special Economic Zone, and Ouyang Xiaoming, Economic Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt, attended the ceremony.
El-din Walid Gamal said that China Construction Steel Structure completed and put into operation the Egyptian plant within 8 months, and China's speed is amazing. The Egyptian government attaches great importance to the localized development of the steel structure industry, and the special zone will provide more preferential policies to ensure the landing of enterprises in the special zone.
It is reported that China Construction Steel Structure Egypt Manufacturing Plant is located in the TEDA Cooperation Zone, adjacent to the port of Suhana, 90 minutes' drive from Cairo, and the transportation is very convenient. It covers an area of 27000 square meters, a construction area of 20000 square meters, and a planned annual production capacity of 25000 tons. It has introduced intelligent production equipment independently developed by China Construction Steel Structure in batches, and is positioned as the most advanced steel structure intelligent manufacturing and processing base in Egypt and even North Africa. The products of China Construction Steel Structure Egypt Plant will be mainly medium-sized building steel structures, supplemented by heavy-duty building steel structures, covering housing construction, sports venues, transportation ports and stations, bridges, power energy, industrial equipment and plant steel structures.
As the third overseas manufacturing base of China Construction Steel Structure, the Egyptian factory will train a large number of mature territorial industrial workers, promote the supporting development of Egyptian steel structure resources with perfect industrial chain construction, and enhance the level of industrialization in Egypt. At the same time, it will provide Egypt and other African, Middle East, and European countries with steel structure full-industry chain and full-cycle services, and contribute to the "Belt and Road" initiative.
